The McTimoney method of chiropractic was developed by the late John McTimoney over 30 years ago and is taught only at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Abingdon, near Oxford. It is well known for being a gentle, precise, whole body approach to chiropractic care focussing not only on the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, but also on general wellbeing and quality of life. The aim of a McTimoney chiropractor is to stimulate the body's own self-healing mechanism and facilitate a return to optimum health.
UK members of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association:
• Are registered with the General Chiropractic Council
• Undertake annual professional development to update their knowledge and skills
It is illegal for anyone on the UK to use the title "chiropractor" or imply that they are a chiropractor unless they are registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). www.gcc-uk.org
